The Destination-Sailing team had the pleasure of attending the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, one of the most anticipated events in the yachting world. Every year, this prestigious gathering brings together the best and newest in yacht design, innovation, and lifestyle, making it a must-visit for any sailing enthusiast. But this year, we decided to add a touch of luxury beyond just the yachts – we introduced two captivating summer fragrances that perfectly complement the elegance and allure of the event.
A Sensory Journey with Blue Moon by Kilian
For this special occasion, we showcased Blue Moon Ginger Dash by Kilian, a fragrance that evokes the freshness of summer nights, with its vibrant ginger and zesty citrus notes. The setting for this shoot was nothing short of perfection. We captured the essence of the fragrance by the stunning pool at the Le Suquet Hotel, where the glistening water mirrored the sophistication of this unique scent.
Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc: A Summer’s Radiance
We didn’t stop there. Another highlight was Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc, a fragrance that embodies the warmth and radiance of a sun-drenched summer day. What better backdrop for this luxurious scent than the deck of the newly launched Elan GT6 Explorer? With its sleek lines and adventurous spirit, this yacht beautifully complemented the golden tones and bold notes of Tom Ford’s creation.
Our Stay at the Beautifully Renovated Hotel Le Suquet
While in Cannes, we had the pleasure of being hosted by the charming Hotel Le Suquet , a hidden gem that perfectly blended luxury with intimacy. Originally purchased in late 2021, the hotel underwent a stunning renovation and reopened in April 2022. The new owners, seeing the immense potential in the property, transformed it into a serene 4-star retreat.
What truly sets Hotel Le Suquet apart is its unique location. Nestled in a peaceful part of Cannes, the hotel is a tranquil escape, yet just moments away from the bustling heart of the city. With only 22 elegantly designed rooms, the hotel offers a personalized experience for its guests. It also boasts a pool, a cozy restaurant, a garden patio perfect for hosting private events, and even a parking area for added convenience.
In 2024, the hotel introduced "Le Café Le Suquet Cannes", a delightful addition located just a minute’s walk from the hotel in the historic old town. This charming café offers both in-house and out-house guests a culinary experience, focusing on fresh, locally sourced products. It’s the perfect spot to start your day before exploring the vibrant streets of Cannes or to unwind after a day of yachting.
Yachting Meets Luxury
The Cannes Yachting Festival is always an unforgettable experience, but this year was extra special. From testing the waters of the latest yachts to immersing ourselves in the luxurious world of summer fragrances, every moment was a testament to the elegance and charm of both the yachting.
