See how we celebrated the 40th Anniversary Cannes Yachting Festival in D-S fashion.
Since 1977, Cannes has become the top September site for sailing enthusiasts and yacht owners the world over. Here’s how we made this year’s 40th Cannes Yachting Festival a Destination - Sailing photography destination.

Day 1
After exploring the marinas, bistros and bars ( book a table at BOBO Bistro for the best homemade pizza, or indulge in fine dining at La Mome ) we prepped for our most exciting collaboration yet!
Day 2
The Festival is officially underway – and so is our shoot!
Our mission: showcase the irresistible luxury of the sailing lifestyle for full-service charter company Ocean Independence. Handsome styling by A Gentleman’s World, superb sunshine and a magnificent yacht as our ‘studio’ for the day made it a pleasure for photographer Sébastien Rohner to do what he does best.
Number one on our lust list: this chic Carl F Bucherer timepiece. Its classic mahogany leather strap and exceptional craftsmanship on the dial and case make it the perfect complement to any yacht owner’s wardrobe.
Day 3
Rohner goes aboard the gorgeous Amel 50, first shown to the world in April 2017, to photograph this sailing beauty at its official inauguration at the Festival.
Day 4
It’s our last day in Cannes. What better way to enjoy the Festival than preview the more than 600 boats in 8 sectors of Vieux Port (including a Luxury Gallery featuring exhibits by sailing’s most coveted brands), or Port Pierre Canto, dedicated to large second-hand yachts.
