Sailing Yacht A
Two years after its launch, Sailing Yacht A remains the world’s largest, most astounding sailing yacht ever made!
Happy accidents often make the best memories. What started out as just another sailing day for photographer Sébastien Rohner, cruising along the Cap d’Antibes, soon became one to remember. Catching a glimpse of the most glamorous superyacht on the globe, Rohner quickly whipped out his camera to capture the perfect shot.
This gentle giant of the sea is nothing short of remarkable. Boasting eight luxurious floors, a helicopter deck, an underwater observation room and masts nearing 92 metres high, this elegant beast dwarfs all other boats sharing its waters – including its own sibling, Motor Yacht A. The pair set sail for the first time together in early May 2017.
Owned by Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko, Sailing Yacht A was designed by acclaimed Frenchman Philippe Starck – the brain behind Steve Jobs’ infamous Venus superyacht.
